My name is Keith Head and I am a retired Master Sergeant from the United States Air Force with 21 years of service.  I spent 13 years as an Air Force Security Forces member with the last 8 years as an Air Force Combat Arms Instructor.  I continue to serve my country as a Civil Service employee teaching Air Force members how to shoot and fixing their weapons when they become unserviceable.  I am also a NRA certified instructor in the numerous shooting disciplines to include muzzleloading rifle, pistol and shotgun instructor.  I recently received certification as an NRA/US Shooting Sports Shotgun coach.  I got my first taste of “Buckskinning” before I entered the Air Force back in the early 1980s and have had the bug ever since.  As a youngster in high school, I ran a trap line to make extra money when the season and varmints cooperated.  I have always been an avid outdoorsman and have volunteered numerous hours in the Boy Scout program teaching youth how to survive in the outdoors.  I am looking forward to increasing my proficiency and knowledge in “primitive” outdoor skills. Have always been interested in the history of the Fur trade era ever since the first time I watched Jeremiah Johnson and the old Hollywood movie “The Mountain Men” with one of my personal heroes which is Charlton Heston, many years ago.
