Fall Camp 2008

Chris Floyd and I had the opportunity to get in our fall camp this past weekend. Saturday was uneventful: beautiful day, a long walk about through the Hartley-Boundary Lake State Primitive area,  and relaxing time to cook some wild rice and stick meat. Saturday night and Sunday morning were a different story. The winds blew between 40 and 60 miles an hour; tress were falling all night long, and a bull moose decided to spend the night some 30 yards from us and was calling much of the night for it's mate. Sometime during the night it began to rain, which turned to freezing rain, then to snow. We left camp early Sunday morning for safety sake as the winds were continuing to blow hard and trees continued to fall. Chris has the only picture of snow, and I will send that to you when I get a copy.

Your brother in AMM,
Tim
